Background
On 17 October 2026 the badminton club BAHIKO hosted the Aargau junior championships in Gränichen – a tournament day in the sports hall with many matches on several courts.
Assignment
Commissioned by the badminton club BAHIKO, I photographed the tournament day – action photos of the matches and the moments at the courtside.
Execution
Badminton is fast: with 55 to 70 mm, f/2.8 and shutter speeds of up to 1/1250 s, the jump, racket and shuttlecock stay sharp in the hall light.
Besides the rallies, the quiet moments are part of it too – the look before the serve or the break at the courtside.
